DEFTAL – Definitive Talents

SARVIC is a good & very close friend of DefTal. When I say DefTal, I am talking about Mr. Ron Cabildo, the owner and creator of this expansive and progressive talent agency. We will cover this in a different article. For now, let’s talk about the quick and intimate photo shoot with the 3 talents.

Ron called me up 2 days before and asked, Vic, I need photos for my new talents by Sunday, can we do it? I can never say “no” to this guy! So, here are the results.

BTW, people often ask me about my lighting set up. It’s hard for me to give people a straight answer because I rarely use a standard system. I like a single light (strobe or natural) set up and maybe one or 2 reflectors. This is just my style. The simpler the better. Another question is, at what resolution do I shoot or take photos. Most of the time, I use my old Nikon D70 (which is a 6 mega pixel camera) or a D200 10mp, that is when there’s enough light. I normally set the ISO to a max of 400 to get clean results (for higher resolution & details I use my full frame Nikon or Canon). Anything above that and you start seeing noise & grain. Both cameras get decent results up to 16”x20” if photos are in “sharp focus”!
