There's another exciting event coming up from PIGGOT Academy. Last month was the Father & Daughter Dance which was so much fun for all the kids especially the dads. Thanks for liking the pictures we provided. We will always try our best to give everyone world class photos and service. Next month will be the "Mother & Son" Dance. Now that a lot of parents were aware of how exciting the Father & Daughter Dance was, I'm sure the moms are going to out do the dads!

Some of the parents suggested that we stick to the bigger pictures and they're nicer & make it simpler to select. That, we will do. You will also have the option to order different size prints. Parents also suggested for more customization. So, we will offer additional personalization of the titles and the captions. Here are the packages we came up with:

The parents were very pleased with the quality of the pictures we provided and the poses... we coached the dads how to pose before the pics were taken. FYI, all the photos are retouched cropped and color corrected and were printed in our Professional 8 color ink printer! I suggest the moms rehearse a silly pose with their sons before going to the dance and having your pics taken. We will specifically just take the "Dance Photos". We have created a "Family Portrait" Shoot4Charity to benefit the schools and the community. We will have an outdoor and separately a studio (indoor) portrait shoots coming up.

Just so you know, SARVIC is known for its "Magazine Style" designs. You email us your existing favorite photos (in your phone or albums) and we will create a magazine style look of the photos. These are great to use as album covers or share to friends & relatives. That simple! from $10.

Then, the Alliance had to move to a different larger location, on Valley View by Charleston. That lasted a few short months when tragically, the new location burned down. This was a set back that only fueled the ACA to rebuild, organize and revitalize. With the help of some political and dynamic members headed by Cavin, the dream became reality. The ACA Center is again back in action and in full force!

Now, ACA has added the largest and only TV production that caters to the Asian community, ACTV. Watch out Las Vegas, watch out world, ACA is coming to be the voice of the Asian community!!

AT around 3:15pm, everything stopped and everybody gathered around for the egg hunt. There were around 4,000 eggs. It took but only abut 2 minutes for the children to gather all the eggs. The ones who came late, got some eggs that were kept for "emergency"!

Thank you for keeping us in mind and inviting us to serve cotton candy. The photos are a gift from us to the church and I hope the members like them. We'll see everybody again next year! Happy Easter to everyone.

The celebration features a community breakfast with members of the Henderson City Council, a festive parade, and a food and music festival.

Luckily, I Luv Cotton Candy was a vendor! We had the pleasure of meeting a lot of the participants of the parade celebration and of course the vendors. Well, check out the photos I snapped during the event.

The past few days few days, I decided to create some samples of our simple designs from some photos of my FaceBook friends. Some with permission and some without! But, I didn’t get any complains when I presented them the new design. I looked for pictures that I thought were striking enough to be admired by their owners. These friends were from the US and outside of the US! I will release these photos in groups.  Hope you like them.

BTW, these designs allowed hundreds of additional admirations from FB friends!

SHOOT 4 CHARITY is a project of SARVIC Studios and is aimed to help the schools & organizations to raise money for their cause.

SARVIC is a good & very close friend of DefTal. When I say DefTal, I am talking about Mr. Ron Cabildo, the owner and creator of this expansive and progressive talent agency. We will cover this in a different article. For now, let’s talk about the quick and intimate photo shoot with the 3 talents.

Ron called me up 2 days before and asked, Vic, I need photos for my new talents by Sunday, can we do it? I can never say “no” to this guy! So, here are the results.

BTW, people often ask me about my lighting set up. It’s hard for me to give people a straight answer because I rarely use a standard system. I like a single light (strobe or natural) set up and maybe one or 2 reflectors. This is just my style. The simpler the better. Another question is, at what resolution do I shoot or take photos. Most of the time, I use my old Nikon D70 (which is a 6 mega pixel camera) or a D200 10mp, that is when there’s enough light. I normally set the ISO to a max of 400 to get clean results (for higher resolution & details I use my full frame Nikon or Canon). Anything above that and you start seeing noise & grain. Both cameras get decent results up to 16”x20” if photos are in “sharp focus”!

Thank you so much for the opportunity to be able to show a little bit of our talent during the “Father & Daughter Dance” at the Piggott Academy. Hope you parents enjoyed the mini photo shoot. Our goal is to reach out to as many schools as we can, help them with their fundraisers and provide them with exceptional photographic products (among other things). Soon enough, you will learn that when you help us as we help you, you are actually helping the community at the same time! We learned that the faculty at Piggott are fun loving easy going and super caring people! They deserve to get a little “crazy” too ones in a while.

Now, you have an option. You can send us your child or children's school photos and we will design (with your initial idea of course), retouch  and even personalize them however you want. It can be a magazine cover look with the school name or the subject's name as the title. We can add captions that suits your needs. School cannot offer this because it'll be not "economically" possible to personalize and customize a design because it'll cost an arm and a leg! An average professional graphic artist charges app. $60/hour. Parents can send their pics to a Fast Photo Lab that offer "Magazine Cover Templates" for about $12-$30. This is nice but there is little to no retouching/designing of the original photo. And on top of that, you do not have design options. The finished product will still look unretouched.

I LUV COTTON CANDY OF COURSE, WAS A HIT!

We were expecting Miss Philippines to win. Even most of the media people were expecting her to win the title. But, after watching and listening to Miss USA, I was convinced she deserves the title. She is a gorgeous, pretty, and most of all very smart lady. The judges made a great choice. I took a lot of photos and I know I will never get to processing most of them. Enjoy the photos!
